As you may
know, you can send $45 to Chrysler Historical (link
here) for a microfiche copy of your 1966 or
1967 Charger's IBM Build Record Card. This card is hard to read at
first, and Chrysler's decoding is at times less than adequate, but
reading all of the punches will show each option
that your Charger was built with, which is especially useful if you
purchased or currently own a Charger without a fender tag near the
battery.
Here is a sample
of the card image you will receive from Chrysler Historical for your
money. They will also attempt to decode some of it, as well as
provide you with the selling dealer if they have that information on
file. I believe you can skip their decoding and just get the card
image for $25 but I have not verified this.

Well we at the 1966-67
Charger Registry have acquired enough copies of these cards
that we were able to piece together a high quality version
with all 80 information/option columns completed on the same card stock (size, weight,
color and thickness) originally used.
If you would like two
reproduction IBM Build Cards for display at car shows, or just for
fun, plus a full option decode including region and dealer code
when available, then you can email Jon at admin@1966-67ChargerRegistry.com.
The price
for the two cards plus a full decode is $50 payable through
PayPal, postage (within the U.S.) included. Please inquire for
postage outside the U.S.

We will need a scan of
the microfiche IBM Build Record Card that you received from
Chrysler via email to begin the process. If you do not
have the microfiche copy of your Build Record Card, you can start by
emailing the staff (archives@wpchryslermuseum.org) at
Chrysler Historical to see if they have your card on file. If they
do, they will email an order form to complete and send in with your
payment.
After you receive your card
from Chrysler, just let us
know and we can get started with the
reproduction. Thanks, and good luck! |
